Hannah's Story– Rising Beyond Adversity
Ms Ellevation is a purpose-driven organisation dedicated to empowering migrant women to thrive in Australia. We help women from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds navigate the challenges of finance, education, employment, and law, enabling them to achieve their full potential, find stability, and secure lasting financial independence.
• At the heart of Ms Ellevation is Hannah, whose own journey is a testament to resilience and transformation. Having lived through the impact of war as a child and later migrating from Africa to Australia, Hannah intimately understands the challenges of starting again in a new country. She knows the pain of domestic violence, the quiet struggles with mental health, and the long road of rebuilding self-worth into unshakable confidence.
Her lived experience as a migrant woman, entrepreneur, and survivor has shaped her deep empathy and determination. Inspired by her mother—a single parent and NGO worker who dedicated her life to educating and protecting women and young people—Hannah carries forward a legacy of courage, compassion, and service.
• In 2024, her vision came alive with the launch of Ms Ellevation. After four years of grassroots support through micro-finance programs, helping migrant women start businesses, secure housing, and build sustainable futures, Ms Ellevation emerged as more than an organisation—it became a movement of empowerment.
• Today, Ms Ellevation is a beacon of hope—a safe, inclusive hub where women can speak out, be heard, and rise beyond adversity. By embracing real-life experiences, we champion confidence, financial freedom, and holistic success.
